Conversability is the ability to converse comfortably in the appropriate context. Its reading considers listening effort, need to raise one’s voice, repetition, activity, occupancy, music, reverberation and audience expectations.
The criterion is contextual: a high-energy bar and a restaurant for conversation have different intentions. Management begins by observing, recording deviations, assigning responsibility and verifying whether architecture, system, music and operations work in the same direction.
Limit: observation does not replace acoustic, medical or accessibility assessment where required.
