What PSIU is
According to São Paulo City Hall, PSIU inspects non-residential activities defined in current legislation, including commercial premises and industry, as well as construction and certain situations involving sound equipment in parked vehicles. The official page also explains limits to PSIU’s jurisdiction.
Why it matters to Hospitality
Restaurants, bars, hotels, venues and other hospitality businesses coexist with people, neighbours, operations, licensing and schedules. Responsible management treats prevention and compliance as part of routine, rather than only as a reaction to a complaint.
A prudent approach
Keep documentation and licences organized; know the official municipal source; establish operational criteria for music, volume and schedules; and seek the appropriate technical or legal specialist when required. Sound Performance may help organize experience and operations; it does not replace a report, licence or legal guidance.
